New To Church?

Welcome!
Welcome to St Leonard's! Below we have compiled some questions which we think you might wish to ask if you're new to church!
If your question isn't answered below, please feel free to get in touch with the church office, or even better - pop along on a Sunday morning! Our friendly staff and volunteers are always happy to answer your questions!

About St Leonards
We are an evangelical Anglican church in the heart of Eynsham village. We love to meet with each other to worship Jesus Christ, to learn from the Bible together, be led by the Holy Spirit in our lives, and to encourage each other to walk more closely with Jesus day by day.

We welcome and value all ages and join together young people, children, families and adults, both within the church and in the wider community. We also support the work of a number of local, national, and international mission partners.

Where is St Leonard's?
You can find us at:
Church Street,
Eynsham,
Witney
OX29 4HW

When do we meet?
We have regular Sunday services, details of which can be found here.

Can I just turn up?
Yes! No sign up or sign in required!
Feel free to arrive 5-10 minutes before the service begins to find your chair and a service sheet.

What do I wear?
The majority of our congregation will favour smart casual dress.
There is no formal dress code, however, in the cooler months you will likely be grateful of a warm jumper!

Where to sit?
St Leonard's is made up of two main sections - the main church and the South Aisle. Please feel free to sit wherever you feel most comfortable.

Our 10.30am service is Livestreamed on our StLeonardsAndStPeters YouTube Channel. If you do not wish to be on the camera, the rear of the church and the aisles are not included on our livestream.

Is there something for my kids?
Yes!
On the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays, our children's group: Sparkler's runs. Ages 4-10 are welcome in Sparklers.
On the 1st and 3rd Sundays, our young people's group meets in the Vicarage. Ages 11-18 are welcome at Sunday Morning Youth

Do I have to give?
No.
While your donation would be greatly received, there is no obligation to donate money while you attend St Leonard's. We have facilities for cash or card donations, but there are no requirements to do so.

When to stand, when to sit?
It is our custom to stand to sing, and sometimes to pray, however, please feel free to sit if this is more comfortable.
Our service leaders or worship leaders will tell you when to stand and when to sit, so don't worry - it's all very simple!

Are there toilets?
We have one Universal Toilet in the church, which is a self-contained room with a toilet and sink for individual use.
This toilet is Wheelchair Accessible. There are two more toilets in St Leonard's Church Hall.

Accessibility
We have taken some time to think about making St Leonard's accessible for all - please follow this link to read more: Accessibility.
