Prayer is the oxygen of our life with God. It is the atmosphere in which we breathe as Christians. We come together to pray and we continue this life of prayer in our daily lives acknowledging that all things come from God, our Heavenly Father. We come in silence, in song, in adoration, in petition; we pray through scripture, by the Spirit, using ancient prayers and our own crafted or spontaneous prayers. The important thing is that we come, entering into the presence of God to dwell with him, to receive from him, to open our heart before him.
Prayer is seldom easy. Everyone is helped in different ways and I hope some of the resources on this page will prove to be a help, enriching your own prayer life. But the basic message is always the same: just pray.
