St Leonard's Parish Church
is an evangelical Anglican congregation at the heart of village life, committed to the growth of God’s kingdom. We value biblical teaching, desire to see more of the Holy Spirit's work in our lives, prioritise prayer and seek to grow disciples in Christ.
We have thriving ministries to young people, children and families and adults both within the church and beyond in the wider community. We also support the work of a number of local, national and international mission partners.
Benefice of St Leonard’s Eynsham and St Peter’s Cassington,
We are united with the Parish of St Peter’s Cassington, which lies approximately 2 miles away, on the other side of the A40. We have been part of this benefice for over 20 years and the communities have a history of close connection.
The Parish of St Leonard’s is not only part of the Benefice above, but also located within
Woodstock Deanary. The Deanery os governed by a Deanery Synod, which acts as a forum for the
parishes to exchange views on issues affecting the area, and can elect representatives to General
Synod in the Church of England.
The Diocese of Oxford is the administrative area of the Church of England that, broadly speaking,
covers the three counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
